HOTLINE NEWS MAGAZINE publishes
listings of upcoming car events throughout the country. All of
these listings include the name of the event sponsor, what models
and/or years are welcome to enter, the entry price if possible, and
an information number for our readers to call if they need to know
more than the listing tells them. In addition we try to give you
some idea of what you can expect if you decide to participate in
any of the events. Our goal is to let you pick and choose those
events that you will enjoy the most, while allowing the event hosts
to make you aware of their plans. On this website we will
periodically update our event listings, but those who would like to
make their plans farther into the future are invited to become a
subscriber to HOTLINE NEWS. The yearly subscription rate of $19.95
is a bargain when you consider what you can save in time making
your rodding plans, and not missing those events that you most want
to attend and enjoy. What you see here is only a SMALL sample of the
listings found each month in Hotline News.
Please let us know of any events you want listed.
DECEMBER 2011 12 / 3 Scottsdale, AZ: We have organized a Charity Car Show & Silent Auction with proceeds going to Homes 4 Wounded Warriors. This is a charity supported by Jared Allen of the Minnesota Vikings who is a resident of Scottsdale. The proceeds will be used to retrofit homes for wounded military coming home from war here in the valley. This charity has become especially important to me, as my son is a US Marine. The event will be from 10 am to 1 pm and at 1 pm we will hold the silent auction. If you have a car to put into the show, the registration is only $15.00. We are once again inviting antique car owners to participate in this great event by show casing their collectibles. As you may know we are seeking cars made in the 1940-60's to recreate the picture. The publicity highlighting the presentation of antique cars is a great contribution to the Stockbridge Chamber of Commerce and its Holiday event. Antique car participants who register in advance will receive a car plaque and one free "Main Street Button" which offers admittance to Sunday's activities, upon arrival. Please note that the street will be closed to traffic at 11:30am with activities held between 12noon & 2pm. Therefore, car owners are asked to arrive between 11:00-11:30am. Cars that best duplicate the Main Street picture should park on The Red Lion Inn side of the street with other models directly across the street. If you arrive while the road is blocked, please enter onto Main Street from the Red Lion Inn side. Upon arrival, park your car on the appropriate side of street and check-in with Doug Goudey who will be in the Wheeler & Taylor Office Building at 11:00am.
